REGIONAL EVENTS

The Office of Alumni Relations not only hosts events in New York but hosts regional events in various states across the country. At these events, many alumni share stories about their experiences at Queens College and hear news about their alma mater. Many alumni reconnect with former classmates and establish new friendships with other alumni too!

Want to stay connected to Queens College even if you live far away from campus? We are looking for alumni in geographic locations outside of Queens, NY to strengthen their connection to other alums in their area and to the College. Groups organize activities that allow them to socialize, network, participate in fun activities and share great memories. Queens College School of Arts

Queens College School of Arts & NYC Parks Partnership

The Queens College School of Arts is partnering with NYC Parks & Recreation to bring vibrant arts programming to parks across Queens, NY throughout the summer into October 2024. This initiative offers free music, dance, and visual arts events for Queens College students, alumni and the community. Past Events 2023-2024

Alumni Lunch: Florida

Queens College Regional Alumni in Florida came together on April 16, 2024 to reconnect with one another over a delicious lunch in the Boynton Beach area. Their class years spanned over several decades: ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

Alumni Reception: White Plains, NY

On March 20, 2024, Queens College hosted an alumni reception at the Sonesta White Plains Downtown Hotel. Alumni reminisced and shared cherished memories and stories about the impact their QC education had on their lives. President Frank H. Wu and Interim Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities Simone Yearwood updated alumni from Westchester and Connecticut about campus activities and news.

Alumni Brunch: Florida

Queens College held an Alumni Brunch on February 25, 2024 at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort and Spa in Pompano Beach, Florida. President Frank H. Wu greeted alumni and shared updates on the state of the College. Novelist and QC Foundation Trustee Emerita, Susan Isaacs ’65 was the special guest speaker.

Alumni Reception: Washington, DC

On November 9, 2023, Queens College hosted an alumni reception at Chef Geoff’s in Washington, DC and invited alumni in the area to attend! Attendees were given updates about the state of the College and were informed on the ways to support current students. Alumni shared their stories about their student experiences at QC and how their alma mater influenced their life. We are looking forward to returning to DC in Fall 2024!

Past Events 2022-2023

Alumni Reception: California

On February 28, 2023, Queens College had the wonderful opportunity to host a regional alumni event in Los Angeles, CA where multi generations of alumni mingled and shared their experiences from their time at QC. Listening to these stories supports our belief in the value of a lifelong relationship with Queens College and the community of accomplished alumni who will support, advise and be a resource throughout your journey!

Alumni Events: Florida

Queens College started the month of February 2023 by meeting with QC alumni that are located in the Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL areas. On February 1st, the College hosted an alumni breakfast at The Marriott Palm Beach Gardens. On February 2nd, QC hosted an alumni reception at the Lona Cocina Tequileria at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. President Frank H. Wu greeted alumni and guests, and shared news about Queens College. 

Alumni Reception: Cambridge, MA

On November 10, 2022, Queens College hosted alumni for a regional event at the Royal Sonesta Boston Hotel. Provost Patricia Price greeted alumni and guests, and shared news about Queens College. Alumni of all ages shared stories about their time at QC and spoke of the impact that QC faculty had on their lives. Staying connected with alumni from near and far strengthens the QC alumni network.

Alumni Reception: White Plains, NY

Queens College hosted alumni from the White Plains area at the Sonesta White Plains Downtown Hotel on September 22, 2022. President Frank H. Wu greeted alumni and guests, and shared news about Queens College. Kevin Abraham, who is a currently a senior at QC, spoke about his experiences as both a student and an adjunct lecturer. He illustrated how the College provides current QC students with opportunities through internships, career services and the alumni network.
