Welcome to the Academic Advising Center!

The Academic Advising Center is one of the many resources at Queens College committed to providing an educational environment focused on student success.

Our mission is to provide centralized and integrated academic advising to incoming, current and returning undergraduate students through the articulation and navigation of degree requirements in order to foster successful completion of the baccalaureate degree. The Center serves as a bridge between the College and the student body by ensuring clarity, uniformity, and accessibility of academic requirements, policy, and procedural information. With a student-centered and proactive approach, the Center tailors services to meet the educational needs of all undergraduates at the College from new student enrollment through persistence and planning for timely graduation.

Continuing Students: Schedule your Advising Appointment

Please download the QC Navigate App at Navigate.qc.cuny.edu to schedule an appointment. Please note that you can select one of the following meeting types for your appointment; virtual or in-person. Advisors will email you instructions prior to your session, as well all your advising documents after your session. Please always check your student email including the SPAM FOLDER as well as any other personal emails that are listed as preferred in CUNYfirst for a detailed message from your advisor.

If you are unable to find an available “academic planning” appointment, please check Navigate routinely as more appointments may become available.

If you are an incoming Fall 2026 Transfer or Freshman:

Congratulations on your acceptance to Queens College!

All incoming students who are not affiliated with special programs are required to attend a New Student Advising Session with the Academic Advising Center. This session is a one-on-one meeting with an academic advisor to discuss your academic interests and plan your first semester at Queens College. Sessions are available virtually or in person, and you may choose the format that works best for you.

Invitations to schedule your advising session will be sent by the Admissions Office. These invitations will include a link to sign up for your individual session through Navigate. For step-by-step instructions on how to schedule your session, click here.

Please be sure to check your email regularly, including your junk or spam folders.

Note: You will receive your advising invitation only after you officially accept your offer in CUNYfirst and submit your Commitment Deposit (if applicable). For instructions on how to complete these steps, click here.

If you cannot locate the email or have questions, please contact us at (718) 997-5573 or email advising@qc.cuny.edu.
