Welcome to The Research Center for Korean Community
The Main Objectives:
To promote research on Korean Americans and disseminate data and information on Korean Americans to the Queens College community, the Korean community, and the Korean government.
Main Activities:
- To conduct active research on Korean Americans
- To disseminate data and information on Korean Americans to the Korean community and the Korean government through books, research reports, working papers, and Korean American Data Bank
- To organize quarterly lecture events for the Queens College and Korean community
- To hold an annual conference on Korean Americans and/or overseas Koreans
- To provide fellowships for a few doctoral students who write dissertations on Korean Americans annually
- To provide reference services for researchers and students interested in Korean Americans through a mini-library
- To help faculty members from Korea and other countries (particularly China and Japan) visit the Center and conduct research on Korean Americans (but no financial support)
