Admissions Criteria for Pre-College Courses
Average academic ability
- Mathematics courses: HS grades between 65 and 80
- ESL courses (English & History): Intermediate ESL level
Good attendance in high school
Interested in
- improving high school grades
- going for a Regents score of 75+
- becoming more confident about college
Attendance at an orientation which includes
- Assessment, Registration & College Success Workshop
Additional Admissions Criteria for Returning Students:
- Successful completion of any previous courses (grade of 70+ and minimum 70% attendance)
To apply:
Pick up an application packet from the Queens College – College Now liaison at your high school.
Submit
- CUNY-College Now Application/Registration Form (must include your OSIS #)
- Current High School Transcript
- H.S. Report Card (most recent)
- Parental Permission Form (signed by a parent /guardian)
- Student Contract (signed by you and a parent/guardian)
- The Thinking Page (short writing assignment – new students only)
