Who We Are
At the QC Writing Center, undergraduate and graduate tutors consult one-on-one with our fellow QC students, supporting writing needs of all kinds and providing feedback to facilitate stronger, more effective writing.
In session, consultants emphasize the exploratory and collaborative aspects of the writing process. We’re prepared and excited to talk about writing, helping you create work you’re proud of!
What We Do
We welcome writing at any stage from all kinds of classes and contexts.
From writing assignments to cover letters and personal statements, we can help you better understand, plan, and execute your writing tasks.
We assist with:
- Interpreting assignments & instructor feedback
- Gaining & practicing knowledge of writing
- Brainstorming & organizing ideas
- Revising for clear, concise, & well-supported arguments
- Source use & citation styles
- English language writing & learning

How We Help
Writing takes hard work, and we’re here to help. For up to 50 minutes at a time, a QCWC tutor will sit with you, either in-person or virtually, aiming to allay your concerns and grow your writing confidence.

Beyond individual consultations, the Writing Center also houses various workshops and delivers on-site support around campus. Furthermore, as a QC hub for writing, we are a space deeply committed to linguistic and cultural inclusivity, diversity, and pluralism.
