Time and Location Details
When and where will this event take place?
The Awards and Graduation event will take place on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 in Colden Auditorium from 6:00-8:30 PM (Program begins promptly at 6:30, doors open for guest seating at 6:00).
Where should I go?
Graduates only should report to Goldstein Theatre (to the left of Colden) by 6:00 PM for pre-event staging; guests/children will not be permitted in the staging area. Please note that entry to Goldstein is one-way, and graduates must remain in the staging area until the event begins.
Where can my guests and I park?
Event parking for graduates and guests will be available in Field 15, directly across the street from Colden Auditorium. Street parking along Reeves Avenue should also be available at the time of our event.

Ticket Details
Do I need a ticket to attend the event?
No, Graduates do not need tickets for this event. However, graduates must bring their reader cards with a valid Island Photography registration code to participate.
Do my guests need tickets to attend the event?
Yes, all guests will need tickets. Due to fire safety rules and the regulations of Colden Auditorium, we cannot allow guests (including children) to enter the event space without their tickets.
How do I get tickets for my guests?
Guest tickets and pre-filled reader cards will be available for pickup in the SEYS office May 5th through May 19th during our normal hours of Mon-Fri, 9:30-4:45. We will also be open late until 7:30 PM on May 5th (Mon), 7th (Wed), 13th (Tues), and 15th (Thurs).
How many guest tickets can I have for the event?
Each graduate can receive up to five tickets; additional tickets may be available upon request (with a per graduate maximum of 10). Any remaining tickets will be made available the evening of our event on a first-come first-served basis.
Can my friend or classmate pick up tickets for me?
Yes, but they must have either a photocopy of your ID or an email from your QC email address authorizing them to pick up tickets on your behalf. They will also need to show their QC ID card.
Additional Event Details
If I attend this event, can I still attend the Queens College Commencement Ceremony?
Yes, students can attend both events. More information regarding the college wide commencement ceremony can be found on the Queens College Commencement website.
Will I be required to wear a cap and gown for this event?
Yes, all graduating students must wear caps and gowns to participate. They can be ordered from either the Queens College associated vendor or the vendor of your choice (please select a black cap and gown to match the QC ones). More information regarding ordering your graduation regalia can be found on the Queens College Commencement website.
Will food be served at this event?
No, we will not be serving food or refreshments during the event. In addition, there is no food allowed within the event space.
Will photos be taken at this event?
Our event will be covered by Island Photography. Please follow the link below (graduating students only, not guests) to register with Island and receive your confirmation code; this code must be written on your reader card. There is no obligation to purchase based on registration, this is so Island can correctly match the photos to the graduates using your registration information and selfie, and to provide each graduate with free photo proofs.
I did not receive an invitation. Who can I contact?
Invitations will be sent to your QC email in April. If you have not received one by 4/21, please reach out to the department (SEYS@qc.cuny.edu).
