Studying Abroad Through a Non-QC Program

Studying Abroad Through a Non-QC Program
As a Queens College student, you are not limited to studying abroad through solely Queens College.

You can also study abroad through another CUNY school, a SUNY school, a Third-Party, or even through direct enrollment at a university abroad.

Search through the programs below.  If none of these interest you, you can also directly apply through a university abroad.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We can only assist students who have filled out paperwork through the Study Abroad Office BEFORE they study abroad.

If you studied abroad without consulting our office, you will have to transfer your courses through the Queens College Admissions Transfer Office.

Other CUNY Programs

Obtain a NON-CUNY Course Approval Form

Detailed instructions on Course Approval Forms can be found here.

When you come back, if your courses abroad changed, you will need to fill out a different NON-CUNY Course Approval Form.

NON-CUNY- Note on Payment
Since this is not a Queens College Program, you will have to pay all program fees directly to the university/program.

—> This means that you will not pay Queens College tuition, but rather that university/program’s tuition.

Exception:

International Insurance: The Study Abroad Office will purchase our Mandatory CUNY International Insurance on your behalf and we will bill you for it.

NON-CUNY- Note on Grades
For NON-CUNY Programs, while classes and credits are transferred over, your grades will not appear on your Queens College transcript and they will not be calculated in your GPA.

**HOWEVER…

Your grades are NEVER invisible.  Graduate Schools and other programs ALWAYS ask for these transcripts, even if years have passed between your study abroad program and the time that you decide to apply for Graduate School.
