Dr. Courtadon also held senior positions in quantitative research, trading and risk management at several Wall Street firms. From 2004 to 2006, he was managing director and head of product development for WestLB in New York. From 1998 to 2003, he was a principal responsible for equity derivatives research and firm risk management research at Morgan Stanley and then a managing director and head of risk control at CDC Ixis North America. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Dr. Courtadon worked for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in trading positions from 1994 to 1998. He was managing director and head of U.S. equity arbitrage in New York and then a corporate vice president in charge of options hedging in Corporate Treasury in Toronto.
Dr. Courtadon has also built and managed derivative products research groups at Bankers Trust, First Chicago and Citibank. He started his professional career as an assistant professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He has published many articles in refereed academic journals and technical books. He is a graduate of ESSEC (Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) in Cergy, France, and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Northwestern University.
