Bio

Muhammad Kabir received a B.A. (with honors) from New York University. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the Graduate Center, the City University of New York. Dr. Kabir teaches courses in international relations, international security, comparative politics, and political economy.

His research interests are in the areas of alliance politics, asymmetric alliances, security relations between powerful and weaker states, and the transaction of side payments in interstate security relations. He is currently working on a research project on asymmetric alliances and side payments.
