Embark on an exhilarating journey of discovery with Queens College’s 8-week Summer Research Program designed to ignite curiosity, foster collaboration, and cultivate essential research skills.
Students will meet every Wednesday, during the free hour from 12:00pm to 1:30pm, immersing themselves in engaging seminars exploring diverse research methodologies and ethical considerations, laying the groundwork for the hands-on activities that await them during the summer. It’s during these sessions that students will engage in a variety of activities, including learning how to present scientific information, craft research posters, scrutinize scientific papers, fine-tune their presentation skills, and delve into data work.
Our program culminates in a campus-wide Research Symposium, where students showcase their discoveries and achievements.
Program Run: July 1, 2024 – August 21, 2024
Mandatory Orientation: July 1, 2024
Mandatory Research Conference @ QC: August 21, 2024
Mandatory Weekly Seminars (8 Total): Wednesdays, 12:15pm – 1:30pm
OPTIONAL Weekly Seminars: Mondays, 12:15pm – 1:30pm
Priority application deadline is May 22. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis until all seats have been filled.
