About the Office of Undergraduate Research

The Office of Undergraduate Research, established in 2012, is a vibrant hub dedicated to fostering academic exploration and innovation. Currently led by Dr. Alicia Meléndez, a Professor in Biology, our office collaborates closely with various departments at Queens College to provide students with resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities. We empower students from diverse backgrounds to pursue scholarly inquiry across disciplines, guiding them through project development, presentation opportunities, and publication avenues. With a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, we aim to create an environment where every student feels valued and supported in their research pursuits. Through undergraduate research, students not only deepen their understanding of their chosen field but also develop essential skills for their future careers.
