Application Process

Eligible students are encouraged to apply by March 31, 2026.

The application will have to include:

1. A writing sample with professor’s comments (no more than 15 pages)

2. A 750-word essay on your research interests and your interest in the mission of the program

3. An unofficial transcript

4. Resume / CV

5. Two letters of recommendation from faculty sent to Miles.Grier@qc.cuny.edu. 

In the second stage of the application process, the Selection Committee of the MMUF will invite finalists for an interview.

Open Houses

Once each semester, students are invited to attend an Open House, where they meet current fellows and faculty mentors. Here, students are provided with information on the key components of the fellowship, as well as the specifics of the application process.
