Major in French

36 credits in French and Francophone Studies

Choose from the following courses:

F41W*, F45W*, F250*, F111, F112, F203, F204, F205, F206, F223, F224, F225, F228, F231, F235, F320, F340, F345, F350, F360, F366, F370, F375, F380, F385 and approved courses taken at the Université de Paris

The major requires F205, F206, F224, F228, two 300-level courses, and a course from the “Euro” category.

*courses taught in English. Students may only take two courses taught in English for the major.

6 credits in another Romance language (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese) may be counted toward satisfying the major in French at the discretion of the Undergraduate French Advisor.

 

Minor in French

18 credits in French and Francophone Studies

Choose from the following courses:

F111, F112, F203, F204, F205, F206, F223, F224, F225, F228, F231, F235, F320, F340, F345, F350, F360, F366, F370, F375, F380, F385, F41*, F45*, F250* and approved courses taken at the Université de Paris.

*Courses taught in English. Only 1 English-language course from the French program can be counted toward the minor.
