Program Overview
CUNY Spring Forward is one of two CUNY-wide paid internship initiatives that recruit students from across CUNY undergraduate campuses who have not had substantial paid professional experience and are eager to apply what they are learning in the classroom in an internship related to their major. Queens College leads The Community & Social Services (CSS) Hub which specializes in internship placements within New York City’s mission-driven, community-based nonprofit organizations and government offices.

CUNY Spring Forward is no longer accepting applications for the 2024 spring cycle. Please check back in October 2024 for updates.

Student Testimonials

“It was very fulfilling that I saw actual progress and success in the work I have done. The websites I designed attracted many clients for my company and I am proud of that.”

“I believe this whole internship was a highlight since it gave me the experience to work in the field that I am passionate about—youth and adolescents. Not only did I learn a lot about how unique and different each kid is when it comes to learning and what their needs may be, but I also was offered a part time job after the internship was over.”

“One of the highlights of this internships was getting to meet and interact with the other interns that had different majors than me but shared similar career interests.”
