Q: What is CUNY Career Launch?
CUNY Career Launch is one of two CUNY-wide paid internship initiatives that recruit students from across CUNY undergraduate campuses who have not had substantial paid professional experience.
Q: What are the requirements to participate in CUNY Career Launch?
You must be between the ages of 18-24 years old, have had no prior paid internship experience during your college career, currently enrolled as a CUNY undergraduate student with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and are eligible to work in the United States.
Q: What majors are considered in your application?
All majors are welcome to apply!
Q: Where does the CUNY Career Launch program take place?
CUNY Career Launch interns are placed at organizations and companies all over New York City spanning all five boroughs.
Q: When does CUNY Career Launch program take place?
CUNY Career Launch takes place in early July through mid-August.
Q: What are the hourly requirements for the Career Launch intern?
CUNY Career Launch interns work 19 hours per week and no more than 38 hours every two-week pay period for the course of the 6-week internship. A 19-hour paid orientation training week precedes the internship.
Q: Is the internship paid?
Yes, CUNY Career Launch interns will earn $20/hour before taxes.
