Q: What is CUNY Career Launch?
CUNY Career Launch is one of two CUNY-wide paid internship initiatives that recruit students from across CUNY undergraduate campuses who have not had substantial paid professional experience.
Q: What are the requirements to participate in CUNY Career Launch?
You must be between the ages of 18 to 24 at the time of application, have had no prior paid internship experience during your college career, be currently enrolled as a CUNY undergraduate student with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and be eligible to work in the United States.
Q: What majors are considered in your application?
All majors are welcome to apply!
Q: Where does the CUNY Career Launch program take place?
CUNY Career Launch interns are placed at mission-driven, community-based nonprofit organizations and government offices all over New York City.
Q: When does CUNY Career Launch program take place?
CUNY Career Launch takes place July 7 – August 22, 2025.
Q: What are the hourly requirements for the Career Launch intern?
CUNY Career Launch interns work 19 hours per week for 8 weeks, including one week of training.
Q: Is the internship paid?
Yes, CUNY Career Launch interns will earn $20/hour before taxes.
