Fast track to a Masters Degree: Before your junior year at Queens College, you may be eligible for one of the following programs if your GPA is 3.0 or more Queens College. Talk to Prof. Uri Samuni for admission to these programs.
BS/MS program: This program offers 2 degrees at the same time. You can take upper level chemistry courses (300 and 400 level) at the graduate level (600 level and up) to fulfill the 30 credit course requirements for Master’s degree and some or all of these 30 credits can apply for undergraduate degree as well. This option will grant both degrees (BS and MS) at the same time. Any credits in excess of 120 may be charged graduate tuition.
Accelerated MS program: If you do not have too many credits left for completion at the upper level, you can stay in BS program but take classes with graduate course numbers that is also essential for your BS degree. There is a maximum limit of 12 such credits and you still pay undergraduate tuition rate for these courses. If you decide to do MS at Queens College, all these credits will transfer as graduate credits.
