Core Facilities
Leica SP5 Confocal Microscope
Augmenting the research equipment present in our faculty laboratories, the Department of Biology’s Core Facility contains several pieces of equipment that all faculty in the QC Biology Department and throughout the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences can use. Thus, our researchers have access to machines that would be too large or expensive to be cost-effective within an individual laboratory. Our Core Facilities fall into three main functions: Imaging, Molecular Biology, and Histology. Find a list of equipment in our Core Facilities here.
Our Department also maintains a computer center, an animal care facility, and a greenhouse.
