Guiding Statement:
Cultivating endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This guiding statement comes from 1 Thessalonians 1:3: We continually remember before our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
College is a time filled with changes, where young adults experience new responsibilities and develop their character. Being a student is not always easy or smooth; different ideologies can also be overwhelming, and financial and educational responsibilities may be debilitating and challenging. The Queens College Lutheran ministry will use every get-together and event to cultivate people’s hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Matthew 11, Jesus tells us to come to Him all who are weary and burdened, and He will give us rest. This ministry, The Vine QC, is here to provide events and opportunities that lead people to Jesus and the peace He provides so graciously. You can find support and comfort here. Whether you need a breather, a snack, a moment of silence in our chapel room, or just want someone to listen, we are here for you.
How to get involved:
The Vine QC meets in the Vine QC office in Room 203 of the Queens College Student Union. There is no need for past religious involvement to get involved with The Vine. It is open to everyone, regardless of their beliefs. Whether you believe in Jesus or not, you are welcome with open arms. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and we are here to accommodate you. Everyone is Welcome!!!!
