New users must request Orientation to use the makerspace. RSVP for an available Orientation at this link.
Orientations are available up to two weeks in advance and must be booked 24 hours prior to start time.
Current members these are our weekly hours*:
Hours for the Spring’25 semester are:
Mondays: 10AM – 4:30PM
Tuesdays: 10AM – 5:30PM
Wednesdays: 10AM – 5:30PM
Thursdays: 10AM – 5:30PM
Fridays: CLOSED
*Open hours are subject to change on short notice due to staff availability and schedules.
We are closed on weekends.
How It Works:
① Request Orientation
Attend a “Safety Guide” Orientation session which grants you access to the makerspace.
② Work in the Makerspace
Spend time in the makerspace exploring our resources and equipment.
If you require additional guidance please schedule a consultation with staff.
③ “Make” New Things
Learn new skills and meet your peers along the way!

The QC Makerspace is located in the Benjamin S. Rosenthal Library, Level 1, Room 101.
Inspired by “the maker movement,” our makerspace provides a place to learn new skills as well as a forum for sharing and exchanging ideas with others.
LinkedIn Learning have how-to videos for everything from 3D-printing to electronics and more. They have 84 videos alone with the tag ‘TinkerCAD’! Design Academy from Autodesk is a great place to explore the world of CAD & CAM. With dozens and dozens of courses to choose from, you can filter them by software, complexity, even career path − from simple, beginner-friendly courses like this Introduction to CAD to Generative Design.
