When will the QC Commencement Ceremony be held?
Queens College’s 100th Commencement Ceremony will take place in person on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 9 am.

How long will the virtual commencement ceremony be?
You can expect the ceremony to last approximately 90 minutes.
I will be completing my degree requirements during the Summer 2024 semester. Can I still participate in the graduation ceremony?
Yes, if you applied via CUNYFirst by April 1st. While you may participate, please keep in mind that only the names of students who applied for graduation according to the deadline dates will be displayed on the program.
When will I receive my diploma?
Your diploma will be ready a few months after you have been confirmed as a graduate of the college. Once your diploma is ready it will be mailed to the address on file. To verify the address on file, contact the Registrar’s Office at qchub@qc.cuny.edu.
When and how do I purchase a cap and gown for the ceremony?
You may purchase a cap and gown at https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/. You have until April 18, 2024, to do so.
Do I have options of purchasing any other graduation memorabilia (rings, diploma frames, t-shirts, etc.)?
Yes! Graduates can purchase class rings and diploma frames at College Rings by Herff Jones or College Rings at Jostens.

What should I do if my guests don’t have access to the internet?
You are able to reserve your guest’s tickets by creating an account on Eventbrite. Be sure to specify their names and an email address when reserving their tickets.
How many guests can I bring?
Students are allowed to bring an unlimited number of guests this year! Please provide your guests this link to the Guest RSVP Eventbrite page to register for an account and reserve their tickets.
Whom should I contact regarding special accommodations?

Where can I find my department’s line up location?
You can find the “Designated Line up Locations” on our “For Graduates” informational webpage.
Where should I line up if I have multiple majors?
For graduates with multiple majors, it is at your discretion which department you wish to walk with. Bare in mind, you may only select one.
What is a divisional/departmental ceremony and where can I get information on them?
These commencement events are mini ceremonies that occur pre-& post the campus-wide commencement. You will have the opportunity to have your name called and walk across the stage. For information regarding your major’s respective ceremony, contact their department directly.
Where do I RSVP for the campus-wide commencement?
You can RSVP using the Student RSVP link.
Will my name be called during the campus-wide commencement?
Graduate’s names will not be called. You may contact your department’s major to participate in their pre/post commencement ceremony in which name calling may take place.
