Join the Social Media Ambassador Program

Admit it:  You (and so many of us) were probably scrolling on Instagram and liking every meme out there or maybe watched a bunch of Tik Tok videos to pass the time. By now you’ve become a pro at posting stories, pictures, and videos of things you enjoy and have shared fun memories on all of your social handles. We’ve all been there! If this sounds like you, then you would make a great Alumni Relations Social Media Ambassador! You can spread the word about our programs and events, and help expand our QC Social! Fill out the form if you are interested in this volunteer opportunity: bit.ly/QCAlumni-SMA For more information, please email: socialmedia@qc.cuny.edu.

Become a Summer Mentor

Alumni have the opportunity to volunteer to become a mentor to a small group of students throughout the summertime. The time commitment for this mentorship would be approximately 1-2 hours, twice a month in July and August (approx. 6 weeks). Role of Mentors:

  • Brainstorm and advise interns on understanding customers’ requirements and propose solutions to solve customers’ problems.
  • Share their experiences, guide the students to find ways to create value for their customers.
  • Learn where to find resources and gain new knowledge to deliver values.

For more information about mentoring, please email laura.abrams@qc.cuny.edu.

Offer a Student an Internship Opportunity

For students, internships are an essential part of their educational journey. They allow them to apply the knowledge and skills they’ve gained in the classroom to practical, real-world situations. Alumni can play a pivotal role in providing these opportunities, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field. Email us at alumni@qc.cuny.edu with your interest in this area.
