Welcome to the Academic Advising Center!

The Academic Advising Center is one of the many resources at Queens College committed to providing an educational environment focused on student success.

Our mission is to provide centralized and integrated academic advising to incoming, current and returning undergraduate students through the articulation and navigation of degree requirements in order to foster successful completion of the baccalaureate degree. The Center serves as a bridge between the College and the student body by ensuring clarity, uniformity, and accessibility of academic requirements, policy, and procedural information. With a student-centered and proactive approach, the Center tailors services to meet the educational needs of all undergraduates at the College from new student enrollment through persistence and planning for timely graduation.

If you are current Queens College student:

Please download the QC Navigate App at Navigate.qc.cuny.edu to schedule an appointment. Please note that you can select one of the following meeting types for your appointment; virtual, in-person, phone, or eAdvising/email. Advisors will email you instructions prior to your session, as well all your advising documents after your session. Please always check your student email including the SPAM FOLDER as well as any other personal emails that are listed as preferred in CUNYfirst for a detailed message from your advisor.

If you are unable to find an available “academic planning” appointment, please check Navigate routinely as more appointments may become available. You should also refer to our same day appointment process outline below.

All appointments reserved through QC Navigate are for continuing students.

If you are an incoming Fall 2025 Transfer or Freshman:

Congratulations on your acceptance to Queens College!   We look forward to you joining the QC Community!

Next steps: Once you officially accept your offer to Queens College, and pay your commitment deposit (if applicable), the next step is to attend a “New Student Advising” (NSA) session.

Your NSA session is a virtual one-on-one meeting with an academic advisor to discuss your academic interests and plan for your first semester.

NSA sessions will begin in May and invitations will be sent mid-April. Invitations will be sent to your preferred email listed in CUNYfirst and will include a link to sign up for your individual advising session. Be sure to check both junk and spam folders (just in case!). If have any questions or concerns, please call the QC New Student Phone Line at (718) 997-5573 or email us at Advising@qc.cuny.edu. We look forward to meeting with you soon!
